Outreach Philosophy

What Christ began thousands of years ago is what He is asking us as His Body to continue to do today. Luke 4:18 clearly tells us to DO SOMETHING as we go about His ministry, and that is to provide restoration to those with SORROW, deliver hope to those in POVERTY, bring freedom to those in BONDAGE, and relieve those who are SUFFERING. If our work as believers continues until the whole world hears, then we need to DO SOMETHING today to let them hear, see, and experience the Good News of Christ for themselves.
Deliver hope to those in POVERTY
We are called to show and share the care and concern of Christ to those who are living in poverty, in homelessness, in hunger, and in despair. We do this both locally and globally by providing food and clothing to the homeless; cleaning, painting, and performing yard work for under-resourced neighborhoods; digging wells for water in Mexico; rebuilding homes in Peru and more.
Bring freedom to those in BONDAGE
We live in a world that is crying out for freedom from drug addiction, alcoholism, prostitution, and criminal destitution. We know they can only be truly set free by life in Christ.
We reach out to this hurting world through ongoing prison and halfway house visits encompassing Bible studies, one-on-one mentoring, correspondence, staple provisions, and more; through weekly support groups for those with addictions; through international partnerships to help bring freedom to those enslaved in bondage, specifically focusing on the unspeakable treatment of the Dalits in India.
Provide restoration to those with SORROW
We are called to bring value and hope to the hearts of foster children, teenage and single moms, orphans, and homeless kids throughout the world with the love that only Christ can bring. We do this by caring and providing for foster children not only locally, but also in countries like Romania, with food, clothing, shelter, and mentoring. We also connect these hurting children to homes with loving foster parents; we equip and encourage young pregnant girls with shelter and provision, aftercare homes, life-skills, and mentoring; we come alongside single parents struggling to raise their children through home improvement projects, mentoring, and more.
Relieve those who are SUFFERING
The “Greatest Generation” sacrifices food in order to buy their medications. AIDS victims in the Bahamas and around the world are dying to even receive medication. Children orphaned by AIDS are scouring the trash dumps to find food to eat. Families in South Florida are hungry because they have lost their jobs. We come alongside those suffering with illness, hunger, loneliness, and poverty by delivering hot meals, groceries, and staples to those in our local community; by visiting and sharing with the elderly in nursing homes and private homes; by supporting areas in need with supplies, on-site projects, teams, and other resources both locally and internationally.
The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed...
- Luke 4:18 (NKJV)
