Our church’s mission is to make disciples of Jesus. The ministries we’ve started all began as a way to do this and reach people beyond the walls of our church.

Succession Plan of Pastoral Leadership for Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale

Posted by Dan Hickling on Wed, May 7, 2014

The succession plan of pastoral leadership for Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale (CCFL) was publicly announced during the church’s evening mid-week service on Wednesday, May 7, 2014.

By unanimous decision of CCFL’s Board of Directors and Senior Leadership Team, Pastor Doug Sauder was asked to serve in the capacity of CCFL’s Lead Pastor, a request that he has accepted. Pastor Doug Sauder has been a member of CCFL’s staff for the past fourteen years, where's he's concurrently served in a variety of pastoral roles, including that of leading weekend and mid-week services as well as serving as the president of 4KIDS of South Florida.

Pastor Doug will lead, direct, and schedule the teaching pastor team by continuing to use a rotation of teaching pastors for the weekend and mid-week services for their 10 campuses throughout Florida. Pastor Doug will also assume the presidency of the organization of CCFL and its regional campuses.

When announced, the CCFL church body and those familiar with Pastor Doug Sauder’s spiritual character and competency, responded with unanimous support and enthusiasm.
