Current Status: Tropical Storm ISAAC
South Florida dodged the brunt of Tropical Storm Isaac, but we will experience Isaac related weather throughout the day today. As of this report, Isaac's center is in the Gulf of Mexico west of the Florida peninsula and is still classified as a tropical storm.
Isaac is expected to gain strength as it continues on a course toward Louisiana and Mississippi. We need to continue to keep those regions in prayer.
Calvary Christian Academy will resume its regular schedule on Tuesday, August 28. CCFL is operating according to its normal schedule as well. Check Facebook.com/CalvaryFTL and Twitter.com/CalvaryFTL to keep updated about Tropical Storm Isaac and any alterations to the normal Calvary schedule.

Preparing for Storms and Ministry Opportunities
Diligence is definitely the order of the day this time of year. Proverbs Six illustrates proper preparation in a description of an ant’s natural behavior: “consider her ways and be wise,” Scripture says. “She provides her supplies in the summer, and gathers her food in harvest.” Not only do we want to provide for our own needs, we want to position ourselves to mobilize for outreach to help and bless those who live around us. And we want to pray for those in Isaac’s path - no matter where it goes - and consider how we may serve them, as well.
