Welcome to our 2007–2008 Virtue Guide. Virtue by definition is: moral goodness, excellence or that which establishes value and merit. We are energized about this opportunity to connect you with what your kids experience in church each week. We've selected a different virtue that will be taught and demonstrated in the children’s and youth services every month. This guide will let you know what your kids are being taught each month, so instead of asking them, “What did you learn in church?” and getting a one-line response, you will have the tools to take them deeper by talking about and applying each month’s virtue to real life circumstances.
This Virtue Guide provides you definitions, biblical references, discussion questions, and family activities for each virtue to become not just something your family learns, but something each one of you lives out. Though the activities may prove challenging, we are certain you will be astonished at the incremental growth you will see in your children and in yourself. As you endeavor down this path as a family, you will discover the closer you get to the end, the closer you get to the character of Jesus Christ. This guide is not about what your kids know at the end of the year but who they are becoming. As a church, we are excited to partner with you on this venture of faith as you disciple your family.
Enjoy the journey!
