Spiritual - Have the life of a committed Christian mother. (Titus 2:3–5)
- Be involved in small-group discipleship, e.g., Single Parents' Ministry, Women’s Ministry, etc. (Matthew 6:33)
- Have daily devotions for yourself and your child. (Psalm 42:1–2)
- No drugs, smoking, or alcoholic beverages allowed by residents or guests. Use discernment in the selection of music and reading materials. (Philippians 4:8)
Financial - Establish a budget. Meet monthly with single-parent overseer for overview of budget and overall plan. (Proverbs 15:22)
- Be responsible for established expenses, such as rent, partial electric, and supplies. (Hebrews 13:5)
- Provide for family the basic necessities, such as food, personal items, clothes, soap, etc. (Deuteronomy 8:18)
- Tithe faithfully. (2 Corinthians 9:7)
Parental - Exhibit a teachable spirit, taking recommendations from mentor. (2 Timothy 3:16–17)
- Attend a parenting class during the six-month stay. (Proverbs 22:6)
- Manage a schedule that includes personal and family devotions, church attendance, work, and recreation. (Daniel 6:10)
Relational - Handle conflict in a biblical manner. (Matthew 18:15, 16)
- First, calmly and respectfully discuss the situation with your housemate.
- If you are unable to resolve the issue, go to your mentor for the next appropriate course of action.
- Share weekly housekeeping tasks. Common areas are to be kept clean and safe in consideration of others. (Ephesians 5:21)
- No dating relationships during stay unless approved by leadership. (Psalm 17:15)
